Alton Maltings

Renovated in 2005, Alton Maltings has been designed to accommodate a multitude of events from birthday parties and wedding receptions to business conferences and board meetings.

Tyndale Auditorium

27m x 12m, with stage, rake seating, rowed seating for 300*, tabled seating for 150* guests, conference facilities, suitable for public meetings, conferences, training, special occasions, parties, wedding receptions and office celebrations. As it features audio visual equipment, it is also used for performances, rehearsals and gala events. More details 

Wesley Function Room

19.5m x 9.5m, ideally suited for seating in rows for 100 guests, tabled seating for 75*, use with a DJ and dance floor, or a presentation with theatre style seating. Wesley is ideal for special occasions, birthday parties, receptions with sit-down meals, public meetings, bouncy castle parties and community groups. More details 

Nightingale & Shaftesbury

9.5m x 6.8m, both have capacity for 60 seated and 32 seated at tables and are suited to boardroom style business meetings, training events, community groups and children’s parties. More details 

Wilberforce Meeting Room

10m x 4.8m with open access to the patio, Wilberforce has theatre seating for 30, tabled seating for 24 and is suited to special occasions, children’s parties, receptions, corporate training and business meetings and community support groups. More details 

Spurgeon & Carmicheal

9.6M x 4.5m, Spurgeon seats 25 or 18 at tables and is suited to use by community groups, training and boardroom meetings. More details 

Outdoor Patio Area

Our sunken patio is at the south end of the building, making it a natural sun-trap for much of the day, although shade is available underneath the two entrance bridges. More details 

Café Rafters

Café Rafters offers a terrific reception space for users of the Tyndale Auditorium. It also makes a great venue for informal gatherings and private parties. More details 

Catering Facilities

​Alton Maltings boasts two commercial catering facilities – one is used to support the Café Rafters, the other supports the catering business that supplies our lunches and celebratory meals. More details
