Ironmen give Help4Harry

The diagnosis of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy in a young boy can be a devastating thought for parents. Faced with this diagnosis and no current cure, one family decided to fight! Sue and Tom, parents to Harry and Jack have, in just three years, raised a staggering £215,000 through their charity Help4Harry, determined to live for the now and give Harry the life that every young boy should enjoy.

Alton Maltings looks forward to welcoming Sue, Tom and a multitude of guests at their fundraising event on Saturday, March 4. Harry's Ironmen, led by Michaela Piper and Simon Hewitt, are putting on a feast of food and entertainment to benefit the research in to Muscular Dystrophy.

Michaela said of supporting Help4Harry: "I have found in life you can take everything for granted but never do you realise how much a family can be suffering so close to your doorstep. It really means a lot to us to help someone else and hopefully raise enough money and awareness that we can help and hopefully extend and fulfill the life not only Harry and his family are going to live, but also all young children suffering with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy."

Of the fundraiser, Michaela said "My reason for doing the charity event, and that of Harry's Ironmen too, is to give something back. It's about helping fund research for everyone with Duchenne! Harry is such a lovely, fantastic cheeky young boy and I could think of no better a young boy to help find a cure for."

The event is being held at Alton Maltings on Saturday, March 4 with tickets available at £40 per person and £360 for a table of ten. More information about Harry's Ironmen Fundraiser and to get your tickets for this great night and even more fantastic charitable evening can be found on Facebook or ask at the Maltings reception.
